Argyle United Methodist Church is a community of Christian believers who are committed to: seeking God, growing spiritually, and serving others. If you desire to join us on this journey and to embrace our Mission, Vision and Values, then we warmly invite you to become a member of our church.
Here are the three steps to becoming a member:
- Express your desire to become a member of our church by filling out a New Member Card found in the racks on backs of chairs in sanctuary and placing it in the offering plate during any one of our services.
- Attend one of our AUMC 101 classes (see class information below). In order to meet the growing interest church membership, classes are offered at various times throughout the year. Click here to register for an upcoming AUMC 101 class or contact Pat Wellborn at pat@argyleumc.org or 940-464-1333.
- At the conclusion of your AUMC 101 class, you are invited to join us in the sanctuary for a brief consecration service where you (along with the other members of your class) will be given the opportunity to affirm your profession of faith, and take the vows of membership.
Profession of Faith
Do you profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
Membership Vows
Will you support what God is doing in and through the ministries of Argyle United Methodist Church with your Prayers, Presence, Gift, Service and Witness?
AUMC 101
The AUMC 101 class is designed for all who would like to know more about the United Methodist Church and how Argyle UMC strives to accomplish its mission to seek, grow and serve. Although this class is not a requirement for joining Argyle UMC, we highly recommend it. It is held every other month on a Monday night from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. This interactive class is led by Adult Spiritual Formation Pastor Todd Mead, who is joined at the end of the class by some of our staff members who are anxious to meet you on a personal basis. You will have the opportunity to join AUMC at the close of that class, if you wish, or you may join the following Sunday (our Great Day of Joining) after the worship service of your choice. Click here to register for an upcoming AUMC 101 class or contact Pat Wellborn at pat@argyleumc.org or 940-464-1333.
